I acknowledge with respect the Coast and Straits Salish Peoples on whose traditional and unceded, stolen lands we gather. Specifically, I recognize and am grateful for the Xwsepsum (Esquimalt), Lekwungen (Songhees), Sc’ianew (Beecher Bay), and the W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples for their stewardship, care, and leadership on these lands since time immemorial.

I honour their enduring connections to these lands, waters, and communities, and I am committed to working towards reconciliation in a spirit of respect, reciprocity, and ongoing learning - strengthening my relationship with the Indigenous Peoples of this land and with the land itself.
